New Year, New Oven...

Welcome to 2019.

Here, at my place, we have had an interesting few weeks without an oven! The oven broke down two days before Christmas. Disaster!

Luckily, our wonderful neighbours came to the rescue and lent us two baby belling “benchtop” ovens; Christmas was saved!

Anyway, I have been without an oven since then but have bought a new one which will be installed soon, I can’t wait!! (It’s a NEFF double oven, I’m very excited to get it going).

In the meantime, I have been really surprised to learn just how often I use an oven. I actually thought I didn’t use the oven that much but when you lose something, you realise how much you miss it. These few weeks, it’s been all change and I have been doing stove top dishes and love my slow cooker, which has been on regularly. I do miss baking quite a bit.

I will be sure to get some recipes and pictures together so I can share what I cook in my fresh new oven.
Have you ever thought about how often you use your kitchen equipment? Is your oven your mainstay? Let me know.
