The latter part of this week has been a busy one as I have been catching up on work, after being struck down with a virus which left me with dreadful labyrinthitis. I’m almost walking straight now so I’m on the way to recovery. My apologies to anyone who I had meant to email or phone.

Last week, I noticed one of those free “challenges” pop up on my Facebook and decided to have a look and see if I could learn anything to help my visibility on social media. You know the type? Email challenges sent to you every week for a couple or weeks and an invitation to join a group with likeminded people all having a go at the challenge? It all looked fine and dandy and the lady in charge had a video clip encouraging us all to be “visible” and to deal with issues such as shyness, esteem issues and the dreaded “imposter syndrome”.

We all know that eating more vegetables is beneficial for health and many of us are trying to incorporate more into our mealtimes.
It seems easy to slip some more into lunch and dinner but are you missing out on an entire mealtime opportunity by not adding vegetables to breakfast?

This week in clinic, I have been shocked to hear some of the old fashioned and non-evidence based dietary information that some of my clients have been getting from their friends and from their local clinics. Some of this is just plain old bad advice.

Every now and then, I see some common themes coming from my clinics.
This week, the main thing I am noticing is that the health of so many people is suffering because they are not taking time for themselves. Many people are working hard, with disrupted schedules and lifestyle and don’t take the time to nourish themselves.

After clinic today, I will be mostly reading the report (EAT-Lancet commision on healthy diets from sustainable food systems); published last night.
Do you have any nutrition questions? I'm always interested in hearing them, and I'll do my best to answer.
